Description
Do you need to impose PDF pages into books, booklets or foldable publications? Do you have to repeat this process numerous times throughout your day or week? If you’re still doing this manually or one job at a time, Quite Hot Imposing is your solution!
Built on Quite Imposing Plus technology, Quite HOT Imposing takes workflows to the next-level by automating the process for more efficiency in high-volume production environments. Quite HOT Imposing is a stand-alone server application that watches over hot folders for incoming jobs or you can use a command-line interface.
Do you have a wide-variety of jobs that require various imposition styles? You can conquer them all by setting up different queues to perform different impositions.
Key New Features in Quite Hot Imposing:
Redesigned main screen
Quite Software heard you tell them that the main screen was awkward to use, especially for a larger number of queues. So they redesigned it. There is touch screen support on Windows 8 and later, and you can make the display extra large to use as a control screen for viewing across the room.
Combine files using job folders
Easily combine files by putting them together, in a job folder. Job folders are an easy way to combine files before processing with Quite Hot Imposing. Working with a preparation folder means Quite Hot Imposing won’t process your job folder before it is ready!
Advanced workflow changes
You can now allow a control.xml file to override the queue set up, both for the whole queue and for a job folder. There is also an option now to add a prefix/suffix to output file names.
How’s this all work? Quite Hot Imposing gives you tools to create sheet-size specific templates which are then exported as an XML file. The XML “template” contains rules and when a PDF matches the criteria you set, Quite HOT Imposing sends the PDF to the correct template for automated imposition. Quite Hot Imposing gives you the ability to save the imposed file into the same file that it was received in. Once it exits, it can be stored on a server or sent directly to a RIP or proof.
These XML instruction sets provide reusable imposition sequences that completely automate the historically manual process of creating press-ready impositions. Current users of Quite Imposing Plus are able to export their existing setups (XML) for use by Quite Hot Imposing.
Quite Hot Imposing can be used as a stand-alone hot-folder application, it can be fully integrated within an Enfocus Switch workflow or it can be automated by system integrators using the included command-line interface.
